This song was recorded in 1943 by Frank Sinatra and Dick Haymes (1916-1980). The latter had an Irish
mother, Marguerite, and was a citizen of Argentina. By this means he successfully claimed neutrality
in World War Two. Dick Haymes was one of the most popular vocalists of the forties and early
fifties. He was famously married to Rita Hayworth (1953-55) and his daughter Stephanie married Sir
Elton John's lyricist Bernie Taupin. I hope you like my version.
well mummy the reason for looking and watching an impersonator is to keep the dream alive. by watching someone like stephen triiffitt it somehow keeps the dream alive, well for me and thousands of others it does. i was never lucky enough to see sinatra live but by watching triffitt he is as near as i can get. no one else even comes close. close your eyes you might even mistake them for each other if yr honest enough. fojay yr talking like an idiot. grow up for gods sake. he sounds just like him!
